Rhode Island ambassador Jacques Blaauw opened up his Investec Cup campaign by firing a bogey free 67 (-5) at Millvale on Thursday.
Blaauw was one of the first players out the starting gates at Millvale and took advantage by shooting 67 to find himself alone in second place. The R10 Million Investec Cup still gives an opportunity for any player as far down as 24th on the points standings to win and Jacques Blaauw has given himself a good chance of doing so after Round 1.
