The 27 year old had a flawless round including 5 birdies and an eagle 2 on the Par 4 second. Wild Coast Sun is the type of course where if the wind is blowing even par can be a superb round of golf, today was indeed superb and he leads by 4 strokes at present setting up a great opportunity to take home his second career title on the Sunshine Tour.

“The wind picked up on my 11th hole of the day, but we got a bit lucky before that. When the wind blows like this you’ve really got to use your imagination around here and all of those different shots help you to stay focused. If you get the ball flight and club selection right then it’s not too bad” Louis de Jager said.
Louis de Jager currently lies 37th on the 2014 Sunshine Tour Order of Merit with earnings just shy of R350 000 and will looking to jump a few spots heading into the last quarter of the season.
Fellow Rhode Island ambassador PH McIntyre is currently next best opening up with a two under 68. Louis de Jager tees off at 11:20 (SA Time) tomorrow.
